The Company
Celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2008, Oroton began trading as Boyd Lane & Co in Sydney in 1938, importing luxurious and high quality fabrics from Europe to meet the need of the burgeoning Australian fashion industry.
Understanding and interpreting international trends for a distinct and distinguished ‘O’ audience remains the central tenet of the company today, and is represented in everything Oroton does. From authentic fabric and leather sourcing, to the quality and style of stitching, buckles and zips, Oroton is both true to current fashion, but also true to its ‘O’ customer.
The Oroton brand is well known and loved in Australia. Never a follower of fads, Oroton is a leader in considered style, both modern and timeless. Oroton is upmarket but attainable, beautiful and practical.
Oroton is famous for leather goods, mesh and crystal bags. Today the range extends to women’s bags and accessories including small leather goods, scarves, lingerie, sunglasses and jewellery, as well as extensive men’s and travel ranges.
Oroton has expanded to 33 stores across Australia and 2 in New Zealand and is also available through major department store David Jones and online. A new store design is currently rolling out, reflecting the new brand mood of relaxed luxury. On the horizon is international expansion with Oroton in discussions with international buyers and partners.
